Living in the Light Sometimes when things are really rough and I am feeling extremely stuck, when breathing or a sitting meditation are not doing it for me I do "ugly movements" . It sounds like a strange thing but it is an honest form of self expression for me. Let me explain it this way: in order to shake off the inertia, negativity or anxiety I need to move, and the movement is not a dance or a workout at the gym. No, it is infact letting my body move however it wants to move - it doesn't have to be dance moves or even rythmic movements. Often times it is quite discordant and "ugly" looking! Sometimes I use music to inspire me but mostly, I shut up and move, remembering to include my head and face. Somehow doing this frees me from that inertia or anxiety or judgement. My body begins to wake up and I feel the twinkling of the cells and bursts of joy arise to the surface. I feel like I am in love! Yeah!! What will shake you out of the stuckness? As we start to live more consciously we must listen to our bodies. They absorb the hits and blows of daily life as well as emotional and mental conclusions and thought forms. The body needs to release these hits and blows in order to reset itself and be in perfect equilibrium and alignment. The "ugly movements" is just one way that works for my body. What is your body telling you? Does it want to move? Does it want a hug? Just today, my body told me, "more minerals please". So I will be taking a nice dose of blue green algae, sun chlorella and some seaweed. The coolest thing about these exciting times that we live in, is that we do not have to wait for someone to tell us what we need to connect, to become whole or to feel love. No, joyfully, today we can discover our own techniques by listening within. That is a true reflection of living in the light! Today, give your body what it wants to be in perfect balance and harmony!
